July's Book Club Pick:

Lead From The Outside

-Stacey Abrams

I’m so excited to announce our next Madam Athlete Book Club pick! For July’s book club, we’ll be reading Lead From The Outside by Stacey Abrams. From the back of the book “Lead from the Outside is the handbook for outsiders, written with an eye toward the challenges that hinder women, people of color, the working class, members of the LGBTQ community, and millennials ready to make change at work, in politics, and in their own lives.” And you know that’s what we’re all about here at Madam Athlete! Grab yourself a copy of the book and come join us!

You know I’m big on goals and not letting perfectionism get in your way! This book is all about having that growth mindset to help you go after your goals.

I love to treat myself to new books when I fly. This was a great airport grab! Achieving goals based on your passion & perseverance (not some innate talent) leads to success.

This is a hug masquerading as a book. Each poem, snippet, word art, and doodle, are a positive reminder that you are a wonderful and deserving human being. Motivation, love, kindness, and truth on every page.

I devoured this book. This is powerful encouragement to own your voice, to own your story, and be true to your own authentic self. Loudly, bravely, and unapologetically.
