[Edit 11/16/20: In the episode to follow, I refer to Dr. Leeja Carter as a sport psychologist. To clarify, she is not a licensed mental health clinician but a research doctor whose research examines women’s sport and health experiences. I have made updates to reflect a more appropriate terminology where possible, however am unable to edit the podcast conversation itself. ]
Leeja Carter, PhD identifies herself as a womanist sport changemaker. She is a Fulbright Scholar who has written a textbook on feminist sport psychology and is the Diversity and Inclusion Division Head for the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. She has combined her passions to serve women of color in exercise and sport, and she is doing the work to make this world a better place.
In this episode, you’ll be inspired to follow your curiosity, build your community, and live in your purpose.
