37. Build Your Advisory Board with NBA Kings’ VP of Athlete Health and Performance Teena Murray

Teena Murray is currently the Vice President for Athlete Health and Performance with the NBA Sacramento Kings. In this role, she’s in charge of strength and conditioning, analytics, performance medicine, mental health, performance psychology, and performance nutrition.

Previously, Teena was the Director of Sports Performance at the University of Louisville where she also helped to create their graduate program in strength and conditioning.

Teena has been a consultant with USA Hockey, the NHL, and the AHL. While working with the US Women’s National and Olympic Ice Hockey Team from 2006-2010, she was part of 2 world championship gold medals and silver at the 2010 Olympics. Her career as a strength and conditioning coach started at Cornell and then UConn.

Currently, Teens is enrolled in an Executive Leadership Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has a Masters in Exercise Physiology and Sport Nutrition from UNC Greensboro. She earned a Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University, and a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
