It’s the second Tuesday of the month so I’m taking a deep dive into self-promotion!
(Welcome to this new series! On the second Tuesday of the month, I take a deeper dive into a topic that comes up in the Madam Athlete podcast interviews or in my course, the Women’s Career Transformation Academy. The goal is to provide a little extra knowledge and empowerment beyond the inspirational interviews of my amazing guests’ unique career journeys. Enjoy!)
On today’s episode I’m talking about all things self-promotion.
Ok, wait! Before you give up on this episode because you think bragging is gross or it makes you uncomfortable… give me a chance and I promise it will be worth it!
The thing is, we have to be our own best self-advocates. Bosses are busy, colleagues are busy, teams are all flickering on the edge of burnout. It’d be nice to think that if you put your head down and got the work done and did good work, that people will notice. That you’ll be recognized and rewarded.
But you know I always keep it real with you and that’s just not how life works.
You’re out there doing amazing things and you deserve to be noticed and recognized. So in this episode I’m going to give you the secrets to graceful self-promotion.
I’m talking about the art of promoting yourself that doesn’t make you feel like a jerk or a slimy salesperson, and that gives you tools to avoid the double bind women who self-promote can find themselves in.
And, to help you practice, I created a free download with all of these tips (and maybe a few extra 😉)!
