Angela Hucles is a former professional soccer player, a 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist (’04 and ’08), and 2-time World Cup Bronze Medalist (’03 and ’07).
In the 2008 Olympics, Angela moved into a starting position when Abby Wambach was injured, and proceeded to score 4 goals, the most of any American woman in the tournament and second-most goals of any individual woman for the games that year.
After her professional soccer career, Angela has continued her work in sports in many other ways. She founded the Empowerment Through Sport Leadership Series in 2012. More recently she founded Fueling Dynamic Leaders which is an online sport nutrition and leadership academy.
Angela is a past-president of the Women’s Sports Foundation and has volunteered with numerous sport-related charities. Additionally, Angela is a professional speaker and works as a soccer analyst, while at the same time co-owning her own real estate firm.
After being a player in the first two iterations of professional women’s soccer in the US (WUSA and WPS), Angela Hucles is now one of the co-owner’s of the new majority women-owned and women-led, National Women’s Soccer League team, Angel City, FC.
