27. Willing to Be Vulnerable with Director of Development Amanda Ekabutr

Amanda Ekabutr is the Director of Student-Athlete Development & the Diversity and Inclusion Officer for UMass Amherst Athletics. She co-advises the student-athlete advisory committee and is leading the 2020-2021 UMass athletics racial and social justice plan for student-athletes, staff, and coaches.

Amanda is also on the executive committee for the Atlantic 10 Conference’s commission on racial equity, diversity, and inclusion. As well as being a member of the LEAD1 Association’s working group on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Amanda earned her BS in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University and her MA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on college student services administration, education, and ethnic studies at Oregon State University.
